Target Audience: This activity is designed for Nurses, Physicians, Psychiatrists, Physician Assistants, Social Workers, Administrative Staff, and Students and Educators.

Webinar Description: The CDC estimated that in 2022 there were over 107,000 overdose deaths in the United States, surpassing the toll of gun violence and car accidents combined. This webinar will review resources and tools on how to recognize and respond to an overdose.

Educational Objectives:

  • Identify the different types of harm reduction training.
  • Demonstrate the effects opioids have on the human body.
  • Discuss Xylazine and other new emerging trends.
  • Review proper to methods to administer Naloxone.

Requirements for successful activity completion:

In order to successfully complete this activity and obtain your Certificate, you will be required to:

  1. Course Content: Complete the pre-reflection question and view the recorded presentation.
  2. Click Survey and answer the questions to the best of your ability.
    Upon completion of this survey, it will unlock and allow you to proceed to the final course evaluation. 
  3. Click Evaluation to complete the final PCSS course evaluation.
  4. Following your completion of the evaluation, you must select and claim your certificate on the next page. Once claimed, a download button will appear in your transcript. If you do not see the download button or can not access your certificate, return to the course evaluation, and claim your certificate.
