Opioid Week: November 12-16

You’re invited to join hundreds of hospitals and academic medical centers around the country for Opioid Week, an interactive case series to help clinicians assess and improve their opioid and pain management skills.

  • Why? Many of our patients are suffering from chronic pain or the harms of opiates. By participating in Opioid Week, you can better prepare yourself to combat the crisis and inform policy on medical education and training.
  • What? Between November 12th-16th, you will receive one case per day (either in adult medicine, pediatrics, or primary care, depending on your specialty) to solve as a brief simulation. Cases can be solved in a few minutes, and include teaching points based on the 2016 CDC Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain. Top individuals will receive a prize.
  • How? Solve the opioid cases on the Human Dx app here. There is no cost to participate.

This friendly case competition is hosted by Global Morning Report (GMR), a daily educational case series from the Human Diagnosis Project that reaches over 500 medical institutions.
