When prescribing MOUD it is important to consider interactions with other drugs which may have adverse effects in patients.  This roundtable is a follow-up to a recently presented PCSS-MOUD webinar.  Dr. Iheanacho will summarize the main points of the webinar and then take questions from the audience.  Come with a question you’d like answered!

At the conclusion of this activity participants should be able to:

• Identify major clinically relevant drug-drug interactions between opioids and other medications
• Review possible explanations for drug-drug interactions
• Explain the physiological and pharmacokinetic mechanisms underlying adverse drug interactions
• Develop strategies for reducing risk of drug-drug interactions within the clinical setting
