Webinar Description:

This 6-episode webinar series will explore comprehensive approaches to opioid treatment, covering public health strategies, the roles of medical professionals, addiction psychiatrists, counselors, peer support, and ethical considerations for justice-involved individuals.

In the first part of this series, we will take an in-depth look into substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and how the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) utilizes data, harm reduction, and equity to meet the needs of those impacted by SUD. The webinar will explore the OASAS continuum of care and its collaboration with a network of providers and state agency partners to best serve New York residents.

Educational Objectives:

  • Participants will be able to summarize the current landscape of opioid use disorder in NY the utilization of data, harm reduction and equity to meet this needs.
  • Participants will be able to describe the continuum of care used in NY for SUD and opioid use disorders.
  • Participants will be able to describe the framework of opioid care used in NY and the collaborative process of providers and state agency partners.
