This 6-episode webinar series will explore comprehensive approaches to opioid treatment, covering public health strategies, the roles of medical professionals, addiction psychiatrists, counselors, peer support, and ethical considerations for justice-involved individuals.
The third part of this series will spotlight addiction psychiatrists, another pivotal role in the treatment of opioid use disorder. Explore their specialized skills, including psychological therapies, medication management, and medication-assisted treatment that are crucial in addressing the complexities of opioid use disorder. Join us to understand their role in the interdisciplinary care mosaic.
Educational Objectives:
- Participants will be able to explain the unique role of the addiction psychiatrist in providing treatment for opioid use disorder.
- Participants will be able to describe ways that addiction psychiatrists collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Participants will be able to state four techniques essential to success as an addiction psychiatrist supporting someone with an opioid use disorder.
